The VP Behind Our Healing Culture

As the VP of Global Experience, Nida Ali shapes the way Global Healing shows up for its people.

In December 2025, I celebrated my 20th anniversary at Global Healing. It feels like just yesterday I was a young graphic designer, looking at the website my colleague Julio Torres developed and thinking, “Man, I could really make a difference here!” I kept that same mindset every day I showed up to work. There were only eight of us back then (including Julio, our CEO, and Molly, our VP & CFO), so everything was very hands-on for everyone. Wherever I felt I could make a difference, I just went for it. Took on additional tasks, different responsibilities, bigger projects.

Twenty years passed in the blink of an eye. So much has changed, of course, but we still uphold the mission that Dr. Group had when he founded Global Healing, and we run it with the same values he instilled from day one. And that’s really what my job as the VP of Global Experience is all about.

There’s a universal desire to live a healthy and full life. No one wants to wake up feeling bad. Everyone is trying to live their best life. We’re here to support that for our customers and our employees equally, and we try to do that by living as an example.

We recently had an internal 4-month-long campaign where we highlighted each one of our four internal core values for one month. For the value Encourage Healthy Living, we hosted a step challenge, a smoothie social in the office with fresh-pressed juices, and a pickleball event. The step challenge was the most fun because people got really into it. I didn’t realize how many competitive people we had around the office!

I try to live that value every day by advocating for others who can’t or don’t know how to advocate for themselves. On the company level, I organize volunteering events with Kids’ Meals, a local organization that delivers free, healthy meals to young children in Houston (where we have our HQ and one manufacturing facility). We also support food banks in Phoenix, Arizona (where we have another manufacturing facility). Personally, I volunteer and serve on the board of a child advocacy organization that supports orphanages to ensure children have access to education and a better quality of life before and after adoption.

One of the best things about Global Healing, in my opinion, is the way the company cares for its people. We have a 9% 401(k) match, which is pretty unheard of. Everyone receives a $2000 stipend for supplements that they can use for themselves or their families. We currently have end-of-year bonuses as well as tenure rewards for those who hit milestones of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15+ years. Right now, I’m planning our 30th anniversary retreat, where we’ll be bringing our teams from Arizona and Texas together.

The way we see it, if something is beneficial for our people, it’s worth every penny. We approach our supplements the same way. If there’s an ingredient or process that’s the most expensive out there, but we know it will be beneficial for you, we’re going to do it. It really doesn’t matter how long it takes or how much it costs. At the end of the day, it’s about what’s best for your health.

When I think back on my 20-year career, the most rewarding aspect has been seeing how we’ve helped people around the world and right at home make better choices about their wellness. There are lots of sellers out there with very little to no information about their sourcing, ingredients, testing, etc. As a result, consumers are left in the dark. We really want you to have the tools to recognize low-quality formulas, questionable ingredients, and misleading labeling so that you can choose what’s best for you.

Health isn’t something you cut corners on. We’re here to raise the standard when it comes to supplements, speak up for our customers, and do what others won’t. Because someone has to.
